Coyote Cash Slot at Rushmore Casino

May 17th, 2010

I grew up with Looney Tunes, which you know if you have read my slot reviews where I rambled on and on about Marvin the Martian, Bugs Bunny, etc. One of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid was the series with Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner. Also, whether I was supposed to or not, I always rooted for the coyote. I felt bad for him and wished he would finally catch the roadrunner someday. It never happened.

Today I was browsing the online slot selection at Rushmore Casino and came across the Coyote Cash game. The game isn’t directly based on the Looney Tunes cartoon, but it definitely is reminiscent of my childhood TV show. The game is set somewhere in the American southwest and the main character is a coyote bandit with a sneaky smile, pistol and bandanna. I think if Wile E. had ever gone low-tech and tried using a gun instead of an ACME rocket or dynamite he might have been more successful.

Instead of a roadrunner, though, the coyote is after an armored car being driven by an eagle (or maybe it’s supposed to be a leghorn…). The car is full of cash and the coyote wants it. I’m not sure what he would buy with it. Wile E. Coyote only ever bought stuff from the ACME store that he used to try to catch the roadrunner. Aside from getting that bird, I don’t know of anything else he wanted.

The Coyote Cash slot also features symbols of a crazy-looking snake with a knife in its mouth (isn’t a snake dangerous enough without a knife?), the armored truck, a cactus, steer skull and more. The online slot’s background shows a southwestern desert and it’s done well enough that when I play the game I feel like I’m going to break out in a sweat.

Coyote Cash is a 5-reel, 25-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. The slot’s jackpot is 10,000 coins, which varies in dollar amount depending on your bet. The online slot has a variety of bonuses, such as a multiplier bonus of up to 4 times your bet and up to 20 free spins.

One negative about this slot game is that it doesn’t have a second-screen bonus game. If there was a slot that begged for an animated bonus game, it’s this one. It could be the coyote chasing the armored truck and running into mountainside or off a cliff or blowing himself up or having a rock dropped on his head… I can go on and on and I don’t want you to think that I enjoy watching animals get hurt, but in a cartoon setting it can be entertaining.

T-Rex Slot at Rushmore Casino

April 29th, 2010

When I was a kid, there was nothing I loved more than dinosaurs. Well, maybe candy, but the two were neck and neck. I collected dinosaur toys, read dinosaur books, drew pictures of dinosaurs, and even pretended to be one when playing on the playground. I always pretended I was a Tyrannosaurus Rex because that was the dinosaur I found the most interesting, since it was a vicious killing machine yet had such tiny, ineffective upper arms.

For that reason, I was thrilled to find the T-Rex online slot at Rushmore Casino. The game is named after my favorite prehistoric lizard and had a theme that drew on my love of that time period. Sure, a lot of the things that scientists “knew” about the dinosaurs back then has been updated as they learn more, but that doesn’t detract from my childhood memories.
The T-Rex slot has a background of a prehistoric jungle, with steam coming from a tar pit, lush green trees, and prehistoric plants. The online slot has symbols of dinosaur eggs, a triceratops, stegosaurus, erupting volcano, T-Rex and more.

T-Rex is a 5-reel, 25-payline video slot that has a jackpot of 10,000 coins. The online slot has various bonuses, such as a multiplier bonus of up to 200 times the bet and up to 10 free spins. Receiving 3 T-Rex scatter symbols on the reels unlocks a pick bonus game, where there are different eggs shown on the screen and you must choose one. Each egg comes with a secret bonus and you get whatever bonus goes along with the egg you pick.

The game has good graphics and animations. For example, if the T-Rex lands on the middle reel of your screen, he will attack and eat any other dinosaurs on the screen. The T-Rex slot is a fun way of reliving a childhood fascination with dinosaurs. I know it was fun for me.

Outta This World Slot at Rushmore Casino

April 13th, 2010

I like the Outta This World slot at Rushmore Casino. It’s fun and it reminds me of the old Saturday morning cartoons with Marvin the Martian. Remember him? Even though he was always trying to destroy Earth, I kind of felt bad for him whenever Bugs Bunny would make all of his plans go awry.

Anyway, Outta This World is a fun, intergalactic online slot featuring goofy little aliens and their advanced technology. It features symbols of the aliens, a black hole, ray guns, flying saucers and more. The game also has crisp animations that show the aliens behaving like goofy little cartoon aliens. And that’s why it reminds me of my favorite Martian (not the show My Favorite Martian; well, you know what I mean).

Outta This World is a 5-reel, 20-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. In addition to its fixed jackpot of 7,500 coins, there is also a randomly triggered progressive jackpot.

In the bonus round for this online slot, you are taken to the cockpit of a space ship and are looking at ten planets orbiting a sun. Kind of like Marvin the Martian having a group of planets and having to pick which one he wanted to blow up, you have a similar choice. Each planet has a certain secret prize associated with it. Five of them are multipliers and five are free spin bonuses. Choose wisely when picking the planets, though, because two of them also harbor aliens, which end your bonus game. Stupid aliens!

Playing the game is fun, but it makes me wish there are Looney Toons licensed online slots. Sure, the cartoons were aimed at children, but the people who watched them are adults now, so I don’t see a problem. That way I can get a slot with the real Marvin, Bugs Bunny and that big red Martian that was always chasing Bugs.

Anyway, Outta This World is the kind of fun space game that recalls those old cartoons, the Mars Attacks cards and movie, and similar extraterrestrial silliness. In other words, I love it! To play the Outta This World slot, visit Rushmore Casino today.

Big Shot Slot at Rushmore Casino

April 2nd, 2010

Online slot themes are all about living vicariously and experiencing strange and exotic worlds and lifestyles. I can’t think of any place stranger than Hollywood. It’s a part of America where people are made rich and famous to play make-believe for a living, yet are openly hostile toward capitalism. It’s a place where the tans, the boobs, the accents and the kisses are fake. It is a place where people pay $2,000 for a pair of flip flops specifically designed to impersonate a pair that costs $2. I believe that style is called “faux poor.”

In the Big Shot online slot at Rushmore Casino, you get to take a look at life as a big-shot Hollywood celebrity, making terrible movies using cool 3-D technology, driving and crashing fancy cars, going to red carpet events stoned, and more.

The Big Shot slot has symbols of a male actor in a designer tuxedo (no, I don’t know who he’s wearing), an actress in a fancy cocktail dress, a film reel, a sports car (looks like a Porsche), a clapperboard and more. Big Shot is a 5-reel, 20-payline online slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. The game has a progressive jackpot that increases as it is played without being hit.

The Big Shot slot has a wide range of free spin bonuses (up to 20 free spins) and multiplier bonuses (up to 20 times your wager). It is a progressive video slot with kitschy animations and a good potential payout.

To live vicariously through the eyes of delirious, overpaid Hollywood hacks, visit Rushmore Casino today and take a spin on the Big Shot online slot.

Mermaid Queen Slot at Rushmore Casino

April 2nd, 2010

Mermaids have fascinated mankind ever since we started exploring the seas. The early explorers would get drunk, see some creature now believed to be a whale or manatee in the water and think it was some beautiful woman with the tail of a fish. Yes, like I said, they were quite inebriated.

Since then there have been countless stories about mermaids, including that horrible Cher movie, that less-horrible Daryl Hannah movie and the Disney cartoon The Little Mermaid. Part of the fascination when it comes to mermaids is the desire to be able to travel and explore the depths of the sea, one of the few areas of this planet that is still largely unexplored. Also, to be honest, it’s great under the sea. It is better down where it’s wetter; take it from me!

I was always fascinated by mermaids, but mostly because I wondered why it seemed that they could breathe underwater when they had no gills. Never in any of those movies did you see them come up for air.

Rushmore Casino is hoping to capitalize on the popularity of the tales of chicks with tails with the Mermaid Queen online slot. Mermaid Queen has a background depicting the seafloor. It has symbols of a red-headed mermaid that looks a lot like Ariel from that Disney movie, a merman who actually kind of looks like Disney’s Tarzan (that might be a coincidence), explorers’ ships, clams and more.

Mermaid Queen is a 5-reel, 20-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. It is a progressive slot, so the jackpot is tied to other games and it increases as the game is played without it being hit. The game has a variety of free spin bonuses and multiplier bonuses.

Haunted Opera Slot at Rushmore Casino

March 26th, 2010

The Phantom of the Opera is a pretty popular story. It started out as a Gaston Leroux novel and was adapted into many different radio shows, TV shows, movies, musicals, comics, and concept albums. It is also the basis for an online slot, though not officially, so the developer wouldn’t have to pay royalties.

Haunted Opera is an online slot available at Rushmore Casino. This slot game embraces the Phantom story and ambiance. The background is that of a theater, with plush curtains, a chandelier and stage. While playing the slot it is as if you’re in the audience at the opera and watching it all unfold in front of you.

To be honest, I haven’t read the book, seen any of the movies, seen the musicals, read the comics or seen the TV shows. I have seen performances of a couple of the songs different places, though, so I feel I’m enough of an expert to comment on this game. The Haunted Opera slot has symbols of a beautiful woman who is supposed to be Christine from the story in addition to the Phantom’s mask, a rose, a mysterious letter, a mirror and more. For added fun, you can blast Andrew Lloy’d Webber’s musical soundtrack while you play the game.

The Haunted Opera game is a 5-reel, 20-payline online slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5. The game has a random progressive jackpot in addition to its standard jackpot. It has a variety of multiplier bonuses and free spin bonuses. The game also has autoplay and turbo play features.

If you’re a fan of the Phantom of the Opera story in any of its incarnations, this game should be a particular treat. If not, it should still be fun. To play the Haunted Opera online slot, visit Rushmore Casino today.

Paris Beauty Slot at Rushmore Casino

March 25th, 2010

As soon as I heard that Rushmore Casino has an online slot called Paris Beauty, I almost vomited a little bit in my throat. That’s because I was under the mistaken impression that the game is themed after Paris Hilton, the woman who is famous mostly for being famous. Luckily, it has nothing to do with her, but you can’t blame me for thinking so. I’m surprised she doesn’t have an online slot, considering that she has a book, an album, a perfume line, a clothing line, a dance club, a modeling career, and an acting career, despite having no talent for any of the above!

It turns out that Paris Beauty has nothing to do with Ms. Hilton. Instead, its theme is what is supposedly the most romantic location in the world, aside from my bedroom, of course. By that, I mean the city of Paris, France. This is a travel-themed game and it highlights architecture and scenery that you would expect to find in the city.

The Paris Beauty online slot features symbols of a Parisian man, a Parisian woman, the Eiffel tower, a painter’s palette and more. Luckily though the man and woman are attractive enough, there is no audio with them, meaning you don’t hear them speak. That’s good, because nothing ruins the attractiveness of a French woman quite like a French accent. Even Sophie Marceau loses some of her beauty when she opens her mouth. Hey, I have nothing against French people; it’s just that you have a disgusting language. It’s not your fault you sound that way.

Paris Beauty is a 5-reel, 20-payline online slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. The jackpot for the game is 4,500 coins. It has a variety of multiplier bonuses and free spin bonuses. One bonus in particular that you should hope for happens if you get three or more Eiffel towers on any of the reels. If that happens, you get 12 free spins and a 2x multiplier on those spins, meaning that you have a chance to win some good money on the house’s dime.

If you want to play a good French-themed game without having to deal with real-life French people, this game is a good way to do it. To play the Paris Beauty game, visit Rushmore Casino today.

Achilles Slot at Rushmore Casino (Review)

March 23rd, 2010

Rushmore Casino has some of my favorite online slots because of the wide variety of themes. One game that I have recently discovered and enjoyed playing is the Achilles slot. This slot has pretty much everything that you could want if you’re into mythological stories or guys in armor attacking each other with swords.

The Achilles slot is based on the character from Greek mythology who was half-God and was invincible except for his heel. Achilles was a major character in Homer’s The Iliad, where he took on the kingdom of Troy in the Trojan War. If you’re not familiar with Homer’s epic poem then you probably know the character from that horrible movie with Brad Pitt and Eric Bana.

Aside from being “really, really good-looking” in a Zoolander kind of way, the main thing Achilles was known for was his prowess on the battlefield. Indeed, he was considered the greatest warrior in the world. My question, though, has always been that if he was such a great soldier, why didn’t he know to put armor on his heel? If he knew that was the only place where he was vulnerable, why not protect it? It’s not like his adversaries didn’t know. The term “Achilles heel” was named after him!

“Hey, man, stop shooting arrows at his chest. That won’t hurt him.”
“What do I do then?”
“Aim for his Achilles heel. It’s his only weakness.”
“Oh yeah?… Haha, I get it now. Man, I feel dumb.”

In all seriousness, the theme of the Achilles online slot takes place during the Trojan War, with Achilles and the Greeks taking on the city of Troy all because of some blonde chick. Sure, I get that she was really hot, but was she worth all of that?

Achilles is a 5-reel, 20-payline online slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. It is a progressive slot and thus, does not have a fixed jackpot. The game has symbols of Achilles, a royal coat of arms, a shield, Helen of Troy, the Trojan Horse and more. The bonus game is basically a “pick a door” type of bonus, which is disappointing because I think a battle scene would have been nice.

Overall, Achilles is a fun online slot with good animations and playing this game is more enjoyable than watching that terrible Wolfgang Peterson movie. To play the Achilles online slot, visit Rushmore Casino today.

Rushmore’s Prince of Sherwood Slot

March 22nd, 2010

Robin Hood has always been a character that has captured the hearts and imaginations of people around the world. Maybe it’s because he robbed from the rich and gave to the poor, maybe it’s because of his archery prowess, but I like to think that it’s because of his green tights.

Whatever the reason, there have been more books, movies, songs, TV shows, plays, musicals, statues, paintings, and architecture about Robin Hood than almost any other fictional character – that is, if he is indeed fictional  (which no one can say for sure). For that reason, I wasn’t terribly surprised to find a Robin Hood-themed slot at Rushmore Casino.

The online slot I’m talking about is Prince of Sherwood and it is an interesting game with cartoon graphics and animations. The background features the English hillsides and Sherwood Forest, with your balance, bets, money won and other displays printed on scrolls. The game has symbols of English knights, bow and arrow, Maid Marion, the Sheriff of Nottingham and of course Robin Hood himself.

Prince of Sherwood is a 5-reel, 20-payline online slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. The game is a progressive slot, so the jackpot increases as it is played without getting hit. In addition to normal play, the game has a random progressive jackpot, which can be triggered at any time.

The Prince of Sherwood slot has a variety of multipliers and free spin bonuses. It also features a cool archery bonus game. In that game, you play as Robin Hood and compete with a second archer. You get different bonuses depending on where you hit on the target and whether you beat the score of the other archer. In this bonus game you can win a multiplier of up to 100 times the bet.

If you’re in the mood for playing an online slot based on a possibly-real archer thief who wore green tights and hung out with a band of merry men, Rushmore Casino is the place to be. To play the Prince of Sherwood online slot, visit the online casino today.

Triple Twister Slot at Rushmore Casino

March 9th, 2010

People have always been fascinated with Mother Nature. Ancient civilizations worshiped the sun and considered a bad storm the wrath of some god. I’m pretty sure Pat Robertson thinks that way to this day. All of that tree hugging aside, Mother Nature is at her most interesting when she’s angry. Sure, it’s terrible whenever there is death or destruction, but there’s something more interesting about a flash flood or a brush fire than a chilly day or a picturesque summer beach afternoon.

Probably the most interesting natural disaster is the tornado. They are so fascinating that millions of people paid to watch the movie Twister to see the disasters of flying cows, destroyed homes and Bill Paxton’s acting. For that reason, the new tornado-themed game at Rushmore Casino should be a hit.

Triple Twister is a new online slot from Realtime Gaming. It seems to be set somewhere in the American Midwest, with symbols of farmers, windmills, concerned cows (of course), weather vanes and more. A twister is the wild symbol and the game is called Triple Twister because that wild symbol triples your payout.

This online slot has some pretty cool bells and whistles. While you’re playing, the sound of wind can be heard and the weather in the background will change from calm to a downpour. When the twister appears on the reels, it then grows to take up the entire screen, rotates and starts, well, acting like a tornado.

Triple Twister is a 5-reel, 50-payline online slot that can be played using denominations ranging from $.01 to $5. The game has a variety of free-spin bonuses and, as mentioned before, has a multiplier.

If you want to play a fun tornado-themed online slot, Triple Twister is the way to go. To play, visit Rushmore Casino today.
