New Dracula slot from RTG

December 17th, 2010

Okay, this is late. Realtime Gaming (RTG) has released a new online slot with a Dracula theme. Dracula? Where was this in October? What were you doing instead of releasing this in time to play for Halloween, people at RTG? This is December, when we expect slots about fat men who sneak into your house in the middle of the night to drop off toys, not pale dead men who sneak into your house to drink your blood.

Anyway, late or not, the online slot is here now and it can be found at Cherry Red Casino. The game is called Count Spectacular, and it’s based on Count Dracula, but they never exactly say that, probably out of fear of being sued by the Bram Stoker estate.

In the Count Spectacular slot, players see symbols of the vampire count, a bat, a girl who is a victim of the vampire, a coffin, a mirror (odd choice, since vampires don’t have a reflection), the count’s castle and more. The game is a 5-reel, 25-payline slot with a jackpot of up to 50,000 coins.

In the online slot, the Count serves as the wild symbol, substituting for other symbols to form a winning combination. He also laughs eerily and stares at you with his hypnotic eyes when there are three Counts in a row. The only thing I wish he would do that he doesn’t is actually count and laugh like the Count from Sesame Street (“One, ah ah ah!”).

The Count also unlocks a bonus when there is one on the first and fifth reel at the same time. For the bonus, players can choose between a free spin and a re-spin. For the re-spins, the Counts remain locked on the first and fifth reels while the other three reels spin. Players receive four re-spins and the payout is normal. For the free spins, all five of the reels spin and your payouts are tripled on winning combinations. Players receive 12 free spins if they choose that option.

If you haven’t had enough of vampires already and you like that kind of thing, be sure to check out the Count Spectacular slot at Cherry Red Casino. It has the fun of the Dracula series without the weird Transylvanian accents.

Slot Request: Monkey Monkey Baccarat

July 6th, 2010

If you’re a frequent quest to my little space on the Interwebs, then you know that I am fascinated by monkeys. Most of my favorite online slots have monkey themes, either a space money, or a funky monkey or a monkey in a band or just an ordinary monkey. If it has a monkey, I probably like it. I’m glued to the National Geographic show about the macaques and I’m one of the few people – aside from Jack Johnson – who actually liked the Curious George movie.

Well, someone just informed me that face cards in baccarat are called monkeys. Players will sometimes yell “monkey, monkey” when they hope the dealer draws a face card. That got me to thinking about a new online slot I’d love to play. I would call it Monkey Monkey Baccarat.

This online slot features actual monkeys playing the game of baccarat. I don’t know a whole lot about the game of baccarat, but I know that it involves a big paddle, so I can imagine a lot of dangerous situations with the monkeys in possession of that weapon. It would be like a fraternity hazing, but worse, and it would somehow involve playing cards.

The bonus games for this slot can involve playing hands of baccarat, which might be confusing to some people, but the game will tell you whether or not you’ve won, so you don’t really need to understand it. That’s kind of how I go about playing poker anyway. “Oh, my hand won? Cool! I guess I had a good hand.”

The online slot could have symbols of various monkeys in expensive suits – because baccarat is a high-class game – playing the game. Or better yet, they could be wearing tuxedos, because those are sometimes called “monkey suits.”

A Monkey Monkey Baccarat slot should also incorporate famous baccarat scenes, such as scenes from James Bond and A Hard Day’s Night, with monkeys playing the parts of 007 and the Beatles. As with my other slot requests, I hope that the software designers stumble across this post and are inspired by my idea. Maybe they’ll even let me help design the game.

Any online casino that provides a slot like that will definitely get my business. For now, though, I can only dream of a Monkey Monkey Baccarat slot.

All Slots Casino Now in Flash

April 12th, 2010

All Slots Casino has long been one of the great destinations for online slot fans. However, until recently their software has only been available via download. Some people simply don’t like having to download casino software to play the games. For some, security is the concern, and they worry about downloading a virus. Others simply don’t like having to take up space on their hard drive. Some people are simply impatient and want to be able to play slots instantly.

Luckily for those ingrates, All Slots Casino is now available in Flash, which means two things: 1) You can now play their online slots and other games instantly. 2) The casino won’t work on an iPad.

For some reason, the geniuses at Apple thought the new iPad didn’t need the ability to play Flash software. For everyone else, though, the new All Slots Casino website should be exciting and fresh. With no need to download software, players can instantly play streaming versions of their favorite online slots, online blackjack games and more.
For players who would rather download the software (or iPad users), the old method of gameplay is still available. The Flash version of the site is one option when you visit All Slots Casino.

Achilles Slot at Rushmore Casino (Review)

March 23rd, 2010

Rushmore Casino has some of my favorite online slots because of the wide variety of themes. One game that I have recently discovered and enjoyed playing is the Achilles slot. This slot has pretty much everything that you could want if you’re into mythological stories or guys in armor attacking each other with swords.

The Achilles slot is based on the character from Greek mythology who was half-God and was invincible except for his heel. Achilles was a major character in Homer’s The Iliad, where he took on the kingdom of Troy in the Trojan War. If you’re not familiar with Homer’s epic poem then you probably know the character from that horrible movie with Brad Pitt and Eric Bana.

Aside from being “really, really good-looking” in a Zoolander kind of way, the main thing Achilles was known for was his prowess on the battlefield. Indeed, he was considered the greatest warrior in the world. My question, though, has always been that if he was such a great soldier, why didn’t he know to put armor on his heel? If he knew that was the only place where he was vulnerable, why not protect it? It’s not like his adversaries didn’t know. The term “Achilles heel” was named after him!

“Hey, man, stop shooting arrows at his chest. That won’t hurt him.”
“What do I do then?”
“Aim for his Achilles heel. It’s his only weakness.”
“Oh yeah?… Haha, I get it now. Man, I feel dumb.”

In all seriousness, the theme of the Achilles online slot takes place during the Trojan War, with Achilles and the Greeks taking on the city of Troy all because of some blonde chick. Sure, I get that she was really hot, but was she worth all of that?

Achilles is a 5-reel, 20-payline online slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $5 per line. It is a progressive slot and thus, does not have a fixed jackpot. The game has symbols of Achilles, a royal coat of arms, a shield, Helen of Troy, the Trojan Horse and more. The bonus game is basically a “pick a door” type of bonus, which is disappointing because I think a battle scene would have been nice.

Overall, Achilles is a fun online slot with good animations and playing this game is more enjoyable than watching that terrible Wolfgang Peterson movie. To play the Achilles online slot, visit Rushmore Casino today.

Climbling Deposit Bonuses at Online Vegas Casino

March 19th, 2010

We love online casinos because they offer fun games to play and often have good tournaments, but we love them a little more when they give us stuff. Let’s face it, casinos take more often than they give, not because they’re mean, but because they offer games with a house edge. So it’s nice when they give you free stuff. Online Vegas Casino is doing exactly that right now.

Online Vegas Casino is running a new promotion called the Climbing Deposit Bonuses promotion. In it, the casino gives out a match bonus for your deposits, but the percentage they match increases with each deposit. There are a total of five deposits in this promotion.

On the first deposit, Online Vegas will match that amount 100%. To qualify, your deposit has to be a minimum of $25 and a maximum amount of $500. On your second deposit, the online casino will match your amount 200%. To qualify, your deposit has to be a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $50. Your third deposit will receive a 300% match bonus. To qualify, your deposit has to be a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $50. Your fourth deposit will be matched 400% and to qualify, your deposit has to be a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $50. The fifth and final deposit in this promotion will be matched 500%. To qualify, your deposit must be a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $50. Added up, this is a bonus of up to $1,200 spread across five deposits. That’s not a bad way to get started playing games if you’re new to online gambling.

The first match bonus is automatically credited to your account and ready to be wagered. For the other four deposits, you have to send the appropriate code to customer service to receive your match bonus. See the promotions page at Online Vegas Casino for details. As usual, the deposits and bonuses must be wagered through ten times before being withdrawn.
For more information and to take advantage of the Climbing Deposit Bonuses promotion, visit Online Vegas casino today.

St. Patrick’s Day Promotion at Platinum Play Casino

March 17th, 2010

In case you couldn’t tell by the large number of people wearing green today and that annoying person going around pinching people, today is St. Patrick’s Day. If you’re a fan of the holiday – Irish or not – then you might be interested in a slot promotion going on at Platinum Play Casino.

Today if you log onto the online casino and play one of two particular slot games, members will receive triple loyalty points. Those points, of course, can eventually be turned into winnings, so for all you know this giveaway could amount to either a free pint of Guinness or a free house. Probably not the house, though, just playing the odds.

Anyway, the games feared in the promotion have an Irish theme. The first is Rainbow’s End. This online slot has a leprechaun theme, with gorgeous Irish scenery in the background, complete with a rainbow. At the end of the rainbow, as in the legend, is a pot of gold.

Rainbow’s End is a 5-reel, 25-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $0.25. The online slot features symbols of shamrocks, a rainbow, lucky horse shoe, pot of gold, the leprechaun and more. The game also has a gamble feature, where you can wager your winnings in an attempt to double or quadruple them.

For more of an old-school slot, there is the Treasure Ireland game, which is a 3-reel, single-payline slot. This game is more of a throwback and has a simplistic design. The slot has a pirate theme, with a pirate ship in the background. The reels have symbols of a skull & crossbones, a parrot, treasure chest, and of course a pint of Guinness.

If you are not a member of Platinum Play Casino, this could be a good time to join. New members receive a $1500 no-deposit bonus. In addition, there is a 100% match deposit bonus available. Be sure to join the Platinum Play Rewards program to receive loyalty points for the games you play. See the casino’s promotions page for details.

Numerology at Sloto’ Cash Casino

March 15th, 2010

Okay, this has nothing to do with slots, but it’s an interesting new feature found at one of my favorite online casinos, so I thought I’d tell you about it, anyway. Sloto’ Cash Casino now has a new numerology column, where they will give you new advice every month about your lucky numbers.

Numerology, or the study of numbers and their relation to living things or physical objects, has fascinated people ever since there were numbers and weird people who try to interpret them. Numerology is ever-present in astrology and, to a certain extent, has always been present in gambling. How many times have you noticed someone at a roulette table play their “lucky numbers?” People play their lucky numbers in the lottery, bingo, and pretty much anything else where numbers are involved. But how do you know what your lucky number is?

One way would be looking at the message in your fortune cookie. Another way would be through calculating your “birth number.” Please, whatever you do, if you hear someone repeating the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, do not pick those as your lucky numbers! Sure, you may end up rich, but you’ll probably end up getting your plane crashed on some mystical island in the Pacific.

Sloto’ Cash’s Lucky Numbers is a new column by Leah Gray, where she claims to be able to help you find your birth number. That number, according to the website, can tell you all about your personality, especially how it relates to gambling. It can tell you if you are “born to win, a risk taker or someone who plays it safe.” Gray says that knowledge about your birth number can be used to “enhance your online gaming success.” There is a column telling you how to calculate your birth number and subsequent columns tell you more about what that number means.

The Lucky Numbers column is fun and all and I recommend you check it out, but I hope no one takes it too seriously. If you find your lucky number, that doesn’t mean you should bet your life savings on that number on roulette. Numerology, like astrology, is a pseudoscience and should only be used for entertainment value.

For the record, my lucky number is 21. After all, every time I get that in blackjack I win.

Weekend Bonuses at Cherry Red Casino

March 12th, 2010

Remember that old song where they say “everybody’s working for the weekend?” Well, I like to think that some people legitimately like their jobs and think of the work week a little differently, but the truth is, everybody loves the weekends. Unless you work on the weekends, in which case you’re screwed. The weekends are great because you’re off work or school and can spend your time with family and friends, watching sports, participating in your favorite hobbies and doing whatever it is that you like to do in your free time.

Also, it’s a great time for online gamblers. The weekends are usually full of slot tournaments and other good deals. Right now, Cherry Red Casino is holding a good promotion where you can get some good bonuses.

First of all, as always, players who join the online casino get a 100% match bonus on their first deposit as a welcome bonus. It’s always nice to get a present thanking you for patronizing a company. I only wish hotels would do that (though I guess you can consider the bars of soap and towels gifts). In addition to the welcome bonus, though, Cherry Red Casino has another good promotion this weekend.

This weekend, members who want to play online slots, blackjack, keno and more can get a 150% match bonus of up to $750. If you were going to play the slots anyway, this is simply some free money to get you started. To claim the bonus, you need to use the proper coupon codes and there are several different codes to use depending on your method of payment. See the “promotions” section on Cherry Red Casino for more information.

To take advantage of this match bonus and make this weekend as good as it can be, visit Cherry Red Casino today.

Sloto’ Cash Rewarding for Alternative Payment Methods

March 8th, 2010

Players who want to gamble online have a variety of payment options available to them, but many people ignore the other options and only look at paying with their credit card. While this may be fine for some people, it does have its drawbacks. For one thing, credit card payments cost businesses money. Also, though the sites use good security technology to encrypt your credit card information, online payments with a credit card are never 100% safe. Also, if you are an American customer, right now you can’t pay with either of the top credit card companies, Visa and Mastercard.

For those reasons and more, Sloto’ Cash Casino is pushing their alternative payment options. Not only are they sending out press releases and putting information on their website talking about those options, but they are also incentivizing them. Players who make deposits using one of their alternative payment methods will receive a 15% bonus on top of any other bonus (such as a welcome bonus) to which the customer may be entitled.

The alternative payment options offered by Sloto’ Cash Casino are Neteller, ClickAndBuy, UseMyBank, Moneybookers, Click2Pay, EcoCard, UseMyWallet and eWalletXpress. Each of those payment options represent the gold standard for online deposit security. Players who use those options will receive an extra 15% bonus of up to $250.

You can deposit funds to Sloto’ Cash Casino in any currency, but they only use and track money in the form of US dollars, Euros and pounds. Therefore, if you use any other currency, the online casino will then convert them to one of those forms of currency using the current exchange rate.

If you are new to the casino, by signing up you can receive a $7 no-deposit bonus as well as match bonuses of 100% on your first deposit, 50% on your second deposit and 25% on your third deposit. To take advantage of this alternative payment incentive, visit Sloto’ Cash Casino and make a deposit today.

Online Vegas Cherry Blossoms Tournament Ending

March 1st, 2010

Well, it’s now officially March and that is the time of year that I really start to think about tournaments. That’s mostly because I’m a college basketball fan and love the March Madness of the NCAA Tournament. So when searching for tournaments this morning I stumbled upon news of the Cherry Blossoms tournament being held at Online Vegas Casino.

Cherry Blossoms is an online slot with a Japanese theme, featuring a geisha, a fan, hand bells, Japanese pottery and more. It can be played in denominations ranging from $.01 to $10 per line. Right now it is also the subject of a slot tournament at Online Vegas.

The Cherry Blossoms slot tournament began on February 26 and runs through March 2. The tournament has a guaranteed prize pool of $75,000. The prize pool is split in two parts, with $50,000 in cash and $25,000 in loyalty points. The cash prize pool will be given out to the top 18 players on the tournament, so working your way up that leader board is a must. The player who finishes first will win $21,000 and the second-place finisher will win $9,500. Even the player who finishes 18th will take home $250.

Though the top 18 may win the big money, the next 280 players will share the loyalty points prize pool. The top ten players will win $225 each and the reward lessens as the ranking does, with the bottom fifty getting $20 each.

The Cherry Blossoms online slot tournament has an entry fee of $14.99, which is a small price to pay for a chance at the $75,000 prize pool. However, if you have not yet entered, you don’t have a whole lot of time to make your way up the leader board. Procrastination is not a good idea here.
