Tomb Raider: Secret of the Sword Slot

May 13th, 2010

Earlier I reviewed the original Tomb Raider online slot. Now that I have played the sequel, Tomb Raider: Secret of the Sword, I decided to review it as well. The new slot can be found at River Belle Casino and in many ways the game is similar. However, the graphics are a little better and the game follows a different story. Since the Tomb Raider slots have a story with a clear plot that progresses as you play, the new tale is reason enough to try this game if you enjoyed the original slot.

I have to say that in spite of the horrible Angelina Jolie movies, I like the Tomb Raider franchise. I have fond memories of playing the games and let’s face it, Lara Croft is a cool character. She’s kind of like Indiana Jones, but with boobs instead of manly stubble (for the record, I’ve always had a man-crush on Indy in a completely heterosexual way, so that adds to the appeal of this video game series).

I won’t go into the plot of the new Tomb Raider slot because I don’t want to ruin anything for you. After all, the story is the main reason to try this game. I will tell you this: It involves a secret sword.

Okay, so maybe that wasn’t much of a shocker. Anyway, the Tomb Raider: Secret of the Sword slot has symbol of Lara riding a motorcycle, wearing an evening gown (with a gun at her side, of course), climbing a temple wall, firing a pistol on each hand, and more. The game also features symbols of relics and ancient symbols. The background of the slot resembles a tomb, which is fitting.

Tomb Raider: Secret of the Sword is a 5-reel, 30-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $0.20 per line. This is a tomb well worth raiding, because it has a treasure of 7,500 coins as the jackpot. The online slot features various bonuses, such as a multiplier bonus of up to 5 times your bet.

This Tomb Raider slot also features a unique bonus game called the Global Adventure bonus game. As you would expect from a Tomb Raider game, it features puzzles and globetrotting and is kind of confusing. In this bonus game, you control Lara and travel the world in search of artifacts. Some artifacts have a prize while others may have a trap, making the search dangerous and suspenseful.

This Tomb Raider slot has well-drawn characters and good animation that looks almost as good as in the video game. If you enjoy the Tomb Raider series of video games, you will probably like playing this online slot. If you don’t, I honestly don’t know why you’re reading this.

Mega Moolah Isis at Casino Classic

May 13th, 2010

Mega Moolah Isis is the fourth online slot on the Mega Moolah series and, like the original game, it can be found at Casino Classic. If you’re not well-versed on your mythology, you may not know who Isis is. The titular character, Isis, was an Egyptian goddess. She is most commonly referred to as the goddess of motherhood and fertility. She was also considered the goddess of nature and magic.

A little help-me-win-the-jackpot magic would definitely come in handy when playing this online slot. Is there a spell for that? Should you bother asking Isis for it?

The Mega Moolah Isis slot has a theme of Egyptian mythology, as you might imagine from the title. Its background seems to show golden structures with carved images, including the name written on a winged idol. The online slot features symbols of the image of Isis, an ankh, an Egyptian vase, a jeweled brooch, a magical orb and more.

Mega Moolah Isis is a 5-reel, 25-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $0.05 per line. That means it’s a good slot to play if you don’t want to spend much money. The slot has a 10,000-coin jackpot and a variety of bonuses. Those bonuses include up to 30 free spins as well as multiplier bonuses.

The Mega Moolah Isis slot also has a gamble feature. Any time you have a winning spin you can either keep that money or gamble it with a chance to multiply it or lose it. The gamble feature game is a simple card-guessing game. There is a card face down and you can either guess the color (red, black) or the suit (hearts, diamonds, spades, clubs). Guessing the color correctly will double your winnings and guessing the suit correctly will quadruple them.

The Mega Moolah slot also has a bonus game that is triggered randomly. In this bonus game, you are taken to a screen with a wheel that has four colors. Each color stands for a different progressive jackpot level and each will give you bonus credits. The four credit amounts are 10 credits, 100 credits, 10,000 credits and 1,000,000 credits. You then spin the wheel and win whatever bonus it lands on.

Weekend Madness Slot Tourney at Online Vegas

May 12th, 2010

Remember Shaaark? That zany online slot that is a play on the lighter side of deadly shark attacks? Yeah, it’s one of the strangest slots I’ve played, but there is an appeal to its oddity. Right now Online Vegas Casino is featuring that slot game in its Weekend Madness tournament.

The Weekend Madness slot tournament begins on Friday, May 14 and runs until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 18. This online slot tournament has a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. $30,000 of that money will be given out as casino credits and the other $20,000 will be awarded as loyalty points.

The Weekend Madness slot tournament has an entry fee of $12.99 and a re-buy of the same amount. That may seem a bit steep, but not when you consider the large prize pool. If you end up with enough points to win prize money, the cost of entering the tournament will have been well worth it.

This is the first time that Shaaark! has been used in slot tournaments, which may mean the relatively obscure game will reach a wider audience. If that’s the case, I wonder what the general reaction will be. Will people say, “Wow, what a cool game. I’ve never seen such a clever concept?” Or will it be “I can’t believe I’ve never thought of turning shark attacks into a cartoon. Why isn’t there a Saturday morning cartoon version of Jaws?” Or will it be “My brother was killed by a shark while surfing and I find this slot to be very offensive?”

Probably not a lot of people will take offense to the game. After all, online slots are controversial by nature, not only because gambling itself is controversial, but also because the themes are often stereotypical.

Whatever your stance on shark attacks and their themes, if you are a fan of money, the Weekend Madness tournament might be a good one to join. To take part in the tournament, visit Online Vegas Casino.

Online Slot Tournaments at VIP Slots Casino

May 12th, 2010

VIP Slots Casino has two good online slot tournaments going on right now that are played on different games with different formats.

The first tournament is the Freeroll Slots Tournament, which began on May 10 and runs until May 17. This tournament is played on the popular online slot Mermaid’s Quest, which has a theme similar to The Little Mermaid.

The Freeroll Slots Tournament has no entry fee – thus the name – and players compete for a prize pool of $3,000. This slot tournament follows a leader board format and at the end of the tournament, those with the most points will win prizes.

The other slot tournament going on at VIP Slots is the famous Slottery. This Slottery tournament began on May 9 and runs until May 16. For this tournament, instead of playing for a guaranteed prize pool, players compete for the pot. That means that the more people that join, the more money is up for grabs. This online slot tournament has a $5 entry fee along with re-buys for the same price. The buy-ins and re-buys are used to generate the pot. This week’s Slottery tournament is played on the Ja Man online slot, which has a Jamaican theme.

To take part in the online slot tournaments, visit VIP Slots Casino today.

Psychedelic Sixties Slot at Sloto’ Cash Casino

May 11th, 2010

The sixties were an interesting time. They were a time of great music, mind-numbing drug use, civil rights, protests, and burning of all kinds of objects, along with other craziness. Luckily, since that era happened before I was born I get to enjoy the music (and the civil rights) without having to deal with the rest of the stuff.

The Psychedelic Sixties online slot at Sloto’ Cash Casino mainly focuses on the music and the hippies. The online slot has a groovy psychedelic background, with swirling colors and bubbles blending together. The game has symbols of peace signs, tambourines, hippies girls and guys, a VW van, a lava lamp, ankh and more.

Psychedelic Sixties is a 5-reel, 20-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $0.10 per line. The slot game has a 2,000-coin jackpot. It has a variety of free spin bonuses and multiplier bonuses. Psychedelic Sixties is a member of Rival Gaming’s popular i-Slot series.

There is a free spin bonus round that is unlocked by the motorcycle symbol. In addition, the VW van unlocks the Psychedelic Sixties bonus feature. In this bonus game, in true hippie fashion, you are driving the van along the road and as you come along people standing on the side of the road, you decide if you want to pick up any of the people and take them along with you. Each person has a secret bonus associated with them but each is a different amount, so you should choose wisely. For that matter, any time you are picking up hitchhikers you should choose your passengers wisely.

To embrace the psychedelic counter-culture, with all of its sex, drugs, and rock & roll, play the Psychedelic Sixties slot at Sloto’ Cash Casino today.

Bangkok Nights Slot at Online Vegas

May 11th, 2010

I decided to play the Bangkok Nights online slot today and wasn’t sure what to expect. I saw the game listed at Online Vegas Casino and thought, Bangkok, okay that sounds interesting. But what would the theme be? Pretty much all I know about Thailand’s capital is that the people are very poor, it has terrible pollution, they have big festivals, and prostitution and human trafficking – including with children – are huge industries.

Upon playing the online slot, I learned that the game focuses on the festival part, rather than going into that other stuff. That was probably a good idea, because sex slaves don’t make for a cheery theme.

The Bangkok Nights slot has a background showing the city’s iconic buildings as well as some type of dragon images. The online slot has symbols of various items you would normally see at their extravagant festivals, including masks with feathers, fancy top hats and bejeweled earrings. In addition, the game shows night club called Bangkok Nights, an entry ticket to the club, and a girl at the club.

Bangkok Nights is a 5-reel, 25-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $10 per line. The game has a 10,000-coin jackpot, which can be up to $100,000, depending on how much you wager. There is no multiplier bonus, but the online slot does offer up to 12 free spins as bonuses. There is also a bonus game called the Pick and Win feature.

The online slot symbols become animated when they are used in winning combinations. For example, the night club doors will swing open, showing the party inside, or the girl at the club will start dancing. The dancing girl is also the wild symbol and is used to unlock the Pick and Win bonus game. In that bonus game, you are taken to a new screen where there are two pretty girls dancing for you. You have to pick which girl you want and then receive whatever secret prize goes along with her. Given the human trafficking thing I brought up earlier, this bonus game can be unintentionally creepy.

May Money Maker Tournament at Super Slots Casino

May 10th, 2010

The May Money Maker slot tournament began at Super Slots Casino a little over a week ago and it’s already a popular promotion. The month-long promotion is drawing players from across the world who are competing for a $100,000 prize pool.

Yes, folks, I said a $100,000 prize pool. This is no small tournament, my friends. The online slot tournament is being played on the slot game 5 Reel Wheel of Chance, which is a popular video slot based on the Wheel of Fortune TV game show.

The May Money Maker slot tournament began back on May 1 and runs until June 1, giving players a full month to log in and compete for the prizes. There is an entry fee of $10 and that buy-in gives you a balance of $75 to play with. If you run out of money and want to re-buy, you can do so and purchase an additional $75 of credits for another $10. This slot tournament offers unlimited re-buys.

Since this slot tournament takes place over an entire month, you may feel that it’s too late to join and still be competitive. However, with prizes being awarded to the top 175 players, there is still plenty of time to get a high enough ranking to win prizes. Also, if you have a lot of success, even being 10 days into the tournament, it’s still very possible to win the top prize.

What is the top prize, you ask? How does $50,000 in cash sound? Not too shabby, eh? The second-place finisher does pretty well, too, taking home $20,000 in prize money. The third-place finisher might be disappointed at not getting the 50 grand, but should be happy to win $7,500.

To join the May Money Maker slot tournament and take a shot at a $50,000 grand prize, visit Super Slots Casino today.

Reel Thunder at Villento Las Vegas

May 10th, 2010

The biker culture is a uniquely American lifestyle. For many returning soldiers from World War II, the domestic life they had lived before was no longer adequate. They no longer wanted to be social and a part of regular society. So instead, they formed motorcycle clubs and started roaming the countryside, living a nomadic lifestyle. Or at least that’s what they said in a documentary I saw recently…

Reel Thunder is an online slot that embraces the image of the road hog. It has a biker theme and symbols that go along with that nomadic biker existence. The online slot has symbols of a motorcycle, speedometer, license plate, motorcycle engine and more to represent the biker part of the theme. Of course, living in the road means stopping at a lot of diners and bars, and this is represented as well. The slot has a symbol of a beer mug at a roadhouse, a stack of pancakes, bacon and eggs (biker breakfast), hot dog and a chili pepper.

Okay, I understand that pancakes, bacon and eggs and hot dogs are traditional American food, so since the biker culture is uniquely American, I can see why they would choose that food. But a chili pepper? That’s more specific to the southwest and Mexico. I have no idea why that symbol is in the slot game.

Reel Thunder is a 5-reel, 9-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.05 to $2 per payline. The online slot has a 10,000 coin jackpot. The slot does offer multiplier bonuses, which are obtained when the scatter symbol appears on the reels. However, it does not have any free spin bonuses or bonus games.

Reel Thunder is a simplistic game without a lot of frills. In some ways, it’s a step between the traditional 3-reel, single-payline slots that offered no bonuses and the bonus-laden 5-reel video slots that we are used to seeing.

To play the Reel Thunder slot, visit Villento Las Vegas today.

Naughty Ninjas Slot at English Harbour

May 7th, 2010

Naughty Ninjas is an online slot that I recently discovered at English Harbour Casino. When I first saw the name of the slot, I had to try it to satisfy my curiosity. To be honest, I feel that way about anything that has “naughty” in the title. You can put naughty in front of any occupation and you’ll peak my interest. Oh, you have naughty garbage collectors? Show me! Naughty accountants? I want to see that!

So what kind of theme is it? I don’t know. I played this slot and I still don’t know what the deal is. It’s some kind of Japanese anime kind of thing. The main characters are female ninjas and I guess they’re naughty, but in a way all ninjas are naughty, aren’t they? I mean, they were basically assassins, right? Something like a naughty nurse makes sense, because nurses are usually good and focus on helping you get or stay healthy. So when you find a naughty nurse, that’s in stark contrast to the normal nurse archetype. Ninjas, though, are always bad unless you’re the one they’re working for, in which case you like them.

Anyway, the online slot has a background of a city skyline, which may or may not be Japan. It probably is. Aside from the female ninjas, there are also symbols of strange aliens, such as this green creature with one huge eye that takes up his entire head. One alien even looks kind of like Godzilla. Hey, I said it’s like Japanese animation, so there are naughty female ninjas fighting strange aliens. Sounds par for the course.

Naughty Ninjas is a 5-reel, 25-payline video slot that can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $10 per line. The game has a jackpot of 2,000 coins. There are no bonus games in this online slot, but you can win free spin bonuses.

The Naughty Ninjas slot doesn’t have a whole lot of frills, since it is lacking a bonus game, multipliers and a gamble function. It is kind of original though, so it might be worth checking out for that reason. The name alone I’m sure accounts for half of this slot’s business.

To play the Naughty Ninjas slot, visit English Harbour Casino today.

Money Shot Slot at VIP Slots

May 7th, 2010

Someone as Vegas Technology either has a dirty mind or is ignorant of sexual slang, because I just got done playing an online slot called Money Shot. The game isn’t what you think; it has a basketball theme. The game can be played at VIP Slots Casino and in all honesty, it’s pretty fun.

Money Shot is a slot for those who love the good “swish” sound you hear when sinking your balls. It has everything you would expect from a game celebrating the hardwood sport. The online slot’s background is of basketballs and an abstract theme that brings to mind ESPN’s telecasts.

The Money Shot slot has symbol of the basketball court, jerseys, cheerleaders, a mascot, basketball shoes, a whistle that is often forgotten when the Spurs are on defense and more. The online slot can be played in denominations ranging from $0.01 to $10 per line and has a jackpot of 10,000 coins. That’s a lot of potential cash for someone with a good stroke.

For those who normally taste rim, there are plenty of opportunities to make up for the lost money. For example, the game has multiplier bonuses of up to 2 times your bet and offers up to 15 free spins.

The online slot also offers a Money Shot Bonus feature, that is triggered by two or more basketball symbols on the reels. In this bonus game, you take shots at the basket from three different positions, so it’s kind of like a jump shooting competition. You control where the shot is aimed and then when to release the jumper. How many bonus points you win depends on how many shots you make at each range. Even if you miss all of the shots, though, you still win some bonus money. Therefore, a win is guaranteed even if you suck at shooting, kind of like Shaquille O’Neal’s career.

If you like basketball games and online slots, this should be a good game for you. And if you have the unfortunate displeasure of having to watch Shaq attempt free throws, maybe shooting your own shots in the bonus game can make you feel better about the state of the game.

To play the Money Shot slot, visit VIP Slots Casino.
