Supe It Up Slot at Lucky Nugget Casino

February 15th, 2010

Are you looking for a slot that is automatic, systematic and hydromatic? Overhead lifters and some four barrel quads? Check. A fuel injection cutoff and chrome plated rods? Check. With a four-speed on the floor, they’ll be waiting at the door…*

All of that and more can be found on Supe It Up, the new online slot from Microgaming, which can be found at Lucky Nugget Casino. The new slot is all about hotrods, monster trucks, and other racing excitement. Personally, I’ve never been a big fan of “motorsports.” I think races would be more interesting if the drivers turned both directions, drove in the rain, and had to avoid tourists looking for the entrance for Disney World. As for monster trucks, I’ve never understood the appeal of taking a normal truck, making it hideously huge and unstable, and having it crush other, smaller cars and trucks. If you destroy someone’s ride, don’t worry. Just give them $.75 for the whole car, including their chick.*

Some people love that stuff, though. And for those people, those that feel the need for speed, a game like Supe It Up is a good way of capturing the excitement of fast cars and prize money. What are the special rules of this game? The rules are there aren’t no rules.* Actually, there are quite a few.

The game is a 5-reel, 25-payline online slot with a variety of free spins, multipliers and bonus games. The game has a 600,000-coin jackpot, which is a pretty nice amount of money if you ask me. You can get some nice new rims for that, maybe even some spinners. You can bet in coins ranging from $.01 to $0.25. To get the maximum jackpot, you have to bet the maximum.

To take part in the adrenaline-pumping, fuel-injected fun, visit Lucky Nugget Casino today and play the new Supe It Up slot.

*Note: All of these Grease references were made when I was under the mistaken impression that the slot was called Greased Lightning. Once I learned that it was actually called Supe It Up, I was disappointed, but decided to leave the references in as homage to what would have been a better name for the game.

Online Casinos Helping Problem Gamblers

February 12th, 2010

Gambling, both online and in brick and mortar casinos, is a fun activity that can be a great way to spend your time as long as you do so responsibly. Unfortunately, some people have a hard time doing that. Some people are irresponsible with their money and lose more than they ever intended to risk. Some people even become “addicted” to gambling.

Online casinos, contrary to what some may believe, are on the side of the players. Sure, they like taking your money – they are a business, after all – but they also know that keeping you happy is important to their business. No reputable online casino would knowingly take advantage of a player with a gambling problem. For that reason, many online casinos, such as Sloto’ Cash Casino, have policies in place to help.

First of all, most online casinos have a link to Gamblers’ Anonymous or some other help group, where you can obtain information and get the support you need for your problem. Many casinos that that a step farther, though, and have safeguards in place on their website.

One option that is there for people with a gambling problem is a self-imposed ban. If you are simply losing too much money at the online casinos and it is causing a problem, you may decide that it’s best to quit the casino cold turkey. If so, contact customer service and tell them that you want to ban yourself because of your gambling problem. In response, the casino would delete your account, make it so you cannot create a new one, and stop contacting you via email and other methods.

That’s great, but there are some people out there that have a problem with gambling that doesn’t require quitting gambling outright. Maybe you just need a little help being more responsible with how much you spend. That’s where policies like what they have at Sloto’ Cash Casino come in so handy. At Sloto’ Cash, you can set up deposit limits on your account that control how much money you can spend online. By setting that limit, it takes the decision away from you and makes it so that you can’t spend more than you want.

That is a great feature because it addresses the number one problem gamblers have: getting greedy and wagering too much money. I’m a firm believer that before you do any gambling, you should always decide how much money you are willing to spend (and lose) and you set aside that money. Win or lose, you never wager more money than that pre-determined amount. Doing so will help you avoid betting money that you can’t afford to lose. The deposit limit accomplishes the same thing but it also makes it more difficult for you to disregard your own rule.

Options like these make online gambling safer and more fun for everyone. And of course, if you have a gambling problem, please seek help.

Online Casinos on Facebook

February 12th, 2010

These says it seems that everyone is on Facebook. It started as a cool place for college students to network with each other, but then it became open to the entire public. Soon even people who never went to college were on there and basically all of your friends from high school and your hometown had a page. Then came your relatives. First, it was benign enough, with a cousin or two showing up on the website. But then it became aunts and uncles and before too long, many unlucky people started receiving friend requests from their parents. But it wasn’t just individuals who flocked to the fastest-growing social networking site on the Web. Businesses began to take advantage as well. Before you knew it, there were fan pages and profiles for every business you could think of, including online casinos.

If you’re like me, you probably find it annoying that Facebook is now littered with business pages. However, you can use this to your advantage. Becoming a friend or fan of your favorite online casinos can get you some special deals. It is common for those casinos to offer special promotions to their Facebook contacts that normal members don’t ever find out about. They promote these special deals through notes, status updates, wall posts, messages and more. By adding your favorite online casinos, you open yourself up to a wider range of deals, whether it’s bonuses, tournaments or whatever.

If you love playing online slots, you may think it’s worth it to add casinos on Facebook or you may think it’s not. It’s kind of the same as the mailing lists. Many people refuse to join the mailing lists for any company, no matter how much they like them, because they don’t like “spam” in their email inbox. However, if you join the email distribution list for your favorite online casinos, you will also get notifications about special deals, deals that you wouldn’t even know existed otherwise.

So it’s a question of whether it’s more important for you to be left alone by these casinos or to be kept in the loop about great deals and promotions. If it’s the latter, I suggest adding casinos on Facebook and joining their email distribution lists.

How I Would Improve Online Slots: Part Four

February 11th, 2010

Every now and then, instead of reviewing an online slot or giving you a tip or secret, I like to just daydream for a little while. I think life is better if you take some time to think about not only how things are but also how they could be and maybe should be. Since I spend so much time writing about slots, this often applies to my favorite game. I have already listed other ways in which I would improve slots. The idea I have right now is a pretty simple one: Break up the monotony.

I love online slots; don’t get me wrong. They’re one of my favorite games at the online casino. When I’m in the mood for serious strategy, I play blackjack. When I’m not, I play the slots. While slots are fun and I have played countless games with countless themes, there is a time when the monotony sets in. You spin and spin and spin and you get symbols and different symbols and different symbols…and then the hypnosis sets in. It’s like highway hypnosis, where you’re driving and suddenly realize you don’t know where you are because you had zoned out. Luckily, slot-induced hypnosis isn’t dangerous, but it does take away from the fun of the game.

To avoid that feeling, online slots should do a better job of breaking up the monotony. One thing this means is having the bonus games occur more often, even if the tradeoff is getting fewer bonuses for each game. Bonus games often are more fun to play than the actual main game and even if they’re not, they break up the pattern of spin, spin, spinning. For the record, some online slots have more bonuses than others, so some have already thought of this.

It doesn’t have to be bonus games that break up the flow of the game, though. Simple cut screens would work. I’m reminded of the way in Wheel of Fortune, instead of revealing the letters automatically, we have to wait for Vanna White to walk over to them and turn the letters over. This adds to the suspense and also gives us something (or someone) to look at. For slots, every now and then, having something similar to that pointing out what symbols we matched and what we won would be nice. I’m also thinking of that dog in the old Nintendo game Duck Hunt, which would pop up and laugh at you when you miss. Something as simple as that brings you back into the theme of the game, breaks up the monotony, and hopefully is entertaining as well. Of course, if you wanted to play a faster game you should have the option of turning those cut screens off.

Video sequences would also be helpful (and some games have these as well). For instance, if you’re playing an online slot with a Superman theme, every now and then it could show the hero flying through Metropolis (the most creative name ever for a fictional city), fighting a villain or rescuing Lois Lane. A sports game could show actual game footage. The possibilities are endless.

My point is simple. Additions like these would enhance the online slot experience for many players without taking away from the game or modifying it in any large way. Sometimes it’s the small things that make all the difference.

Go Casino Freeroll Valentine’s Day Tournament

February 11th, 2010

Ah, Valentine’s Day. It’s that special holiday invented by women who wanted a day when their boyfriends and husbands have to give them gifts and be on their very best behavior. Or maybe it was invented by corporations to sell greeting cards, chocolates, flowers and more. Maybe it was invented by single, prowling men so they can easier pick out the lonely women on February 14 who are depressed because they’re alone on the day of love. In any case, there’s a great many reasons to love a holiday that celebrates the materialism inherent in relationships. One great reason is the tournaments.

Right now Go Casino is holding the Valentine’s Week-long $75,000 Guaranteed Freeroll tournament. The tournament runs from Friday, February 12 through February 19. In the tournament, players compete on online slots for a shot at a guaranteed prize pool of $75,000. The best part is that there is no entry fee, so there is absolutely nothing risked in joining this tournament. Of course, you probably figured that and the prize pool out by the name of the tournament.

The tournament is played on the online slot Cupid’s Arrow, which is one of the most romantic games based on archery. In this tournament, everyone has a good shot at a prize, since prizes are awarded to the top 1,000 players. Even if your prize is small, since it’s a free tournament, you would come out ahead. Not all of the prizes are small, though. The first-place finisher, for instance, wins $15,000.

Though there is no fee to enter the tournament and start playing, if you run out of credits you do have the option of purchasing more. You can rebuy for $14.14 and get another $300 to play with.

To take part in the Valentine’s Day online slot tournament action, visit Go Casino tomorrow.

Mad Hatter Tournament at Villento Las Vegas

February 10th, 2010

There has been a bit of buzz surrounding the tale of Alice in Wonderland for quite some time. Next month, Tim Burton’s retelling of the story will hit theaters to much fanfare. Normally, I wouldn’t get excited about something like that, but aside from Corpse Bride, I have loved every Tim Burton movie I’ve seen. The man’s as gifted a visual storyteller as you’ll find. Throw in the fact that Johnny Depp, who has a history of chewing up over-the-top roles, is playing the Mad Hatter and you can see why expectations are so high.

For those who can’t wait until next month to get your fix of pro-drug storytelling at its best, you can always play the Mad Hatters online slot at Villento Las Vegas. The online slot is based on Lewis Carroll’s tale about following weird rabbits into a strange place where you can experiment with pills that make you bigger or smaller and talk to a mad hatter and a cat with a mischievous grin.

The Mad Hatters online slot features symbols of cake, tea, the Mad Hatter and more. It is a 5-reel slot with up to 30 paylines. The game has many opportunities for free spins, an on-screen bonus game and other countless goodies.

Right now Villento Las Vegas is holding the $3000 Mad Hatters Mania tournament, which concludes at the end of February 10. Players compete in this tournament for a shot at a prize pool of $3000. You can buy a lot of pills for that money.*

To take part in the online slot tournament and play the fun Mad Hatters game while you wait for the new Tim Burton movie to hit a silver screen near you, visit Villento Las Vegas today.

* I do not in any way endorse the use of drugs. I made a joke about buying pills onto to reference the drug theme of Alice in Wonderland.

March Madness at Super Slots Casino

February 10th, 2010

March Madness is my second-favorite holiday, behind Christmas. One great thing about the holiday is that is lasts all month and even into early April. I celebrate by filling out a bracket, making my picks for the tournament (which usually end up wrong) and watching as much college basketball as humanly possible. And I love every minute of it. Okay, so maybe March Madness isn’t technically a national holiday, but it sure should be.

The good boys at Super Slots casino must feel the same way. While most online casinos are holding Valentine’s Day tournaments right now to celebrate the holiday that is all about fake, materialistic representations of love, Super Slots is looking ahead to next month.

The online casino has announced that throughout the entire month of March, they will be holding a March Madness slot tournament. For an entry fee of $10, players get a chance at $212,500 in cash prizes and $87,500 in bonus money. The players near the top of the leader board will take home some serious money, with the first-place finisher winning $150,000 and the second and third-place finishers taking home $10,000 and $2500 respectively. The entry fee gives you $50 to play with and there are unlimited rebuys throughout the slot tournament. Each rebuy gives you an additional $60 to play.

My only complaint is that the tournament is not played on a basketball-themed online slot. I guess Super Slots doesn’t have one. Instead, it is played on Magic Monkey. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know how much I love monkey games, so I guess this is the next best thing to a basketball theme.

To take part in the March Madness tournament, be sure to visit Super Slots casino next month. Also, if you want my advice on your bracket: Kentucky is going all the way.

Thunderstruck 2 at All Slots Casino

February 9th, 2010

I remember the first time I heard about the Microgaming’s Thunderstruck slot. I was really excited. Once I found the game, it challenged my expectations and brought me a game much different to what I was expecting. Mostly that’s because I was expecting a game with an AC/DC theme, which would have been really cool (I can imagine the “thunder” chants while playing). I quickly learned that the online slot was instead themed after Thor, the Norse god of thunder.

It was still a cool game, and once I’ve played at All Slots Casino many times. I’ve even won some good money using that slot, which I can’t say very often. And I’m not the only one. The game became one of the most popular of Microgaming’s online slots. For that reason, I was excited earlier this week when I heard that a sequel, Thunderstruck 2, is coming soon.

According to insiders at Microgaming, the new online slot was made with special attention paid to enhancing the experience of the players. It’s not just another slot with a slightly different theme and a slightly different gameplay. Microgaming is attempting to improve upon the original and give a newer, better experience.

There is not yet a release date for Thunderstruck 2, those close to the project promise higher resolution graphics, more artistic scenery, an epic musical score, and a wide range of new special features. The game will also be able to be played using multi-tab gaming, where players can play up to 5 online slots at a time.

If you’re as excited as me about the new Thunderstruck online slot, stay tuned and I’ll let you know when it’s here.

CashSplash Slot at Casino Classic

February 9th, 2010

When it comes to online slots, some have very complex themes that tell a story as you continue to play the game. Many are themed after movies, comic books, and fictional or historical characters. The upcoming Lord of the Rings slots, for example, are sure to provide a cohesive story and a complex system of gameplay. Other slots go the opposite route. Some people want simplicity and not all of those bells and whistles.

For the latter crowd, CashSplash is a good game to try. It is offered at Casino Classic, an online casino that knows the appeal of nostalgic, simple games. CashSplash harkens back to the times of the original slot machines, with no real theme or tricks of any kind. It’s basically an old-school online slot with symbols of fruit, numbers and letters (representing a deck of cards).

The game can be played as a 3-reel traditional slot or a 5-reel video slot. The 5-reel version has 15 paylines and is a progressive slot. The slot has been paying out well lately, getting hit 7 times last week, with payouts ranging from $7,000 to $50,000. Now, I’m not going to tell you that you should play the slot because it’s hot right now. Doing so would go against the knowledge that the outcomes of all online slots are random. However, that person who won fifty grand was pretty happy to have played the game…

Since it’s a progressive slot, you can only win the total jackpot if you bet the maximum amount, which in this case is $3 per spin. To play the fun CashSplash online slot, visit Casino Classic today.

Easiest Way to Make Money at Slots

February 8th, 2010

I have the secret. I know the easiest way to make money at slots. It’s practically guaranteed. Other people won’t tell you how but I will let you in on the secret. All you have to do is follow my instructions and you will be making money off of slots in no time.

The first thing you do is get on your computer and do as much research about slots as possible. Play some free online slots and get a feel for how the different games are played. Then start writing about your experiences. If anything you did seemed to help you, no matter how crazy, include that in your writing. I mean it. If kissing a rabbit’s foot helped, write about that. If a progressive betting system, a timing strategy or an attempt at telekinesis helped you, write it down. Keep writing until you feel like you have a comprehensive guide about what caused you to have more success at online slots. We’ll call this guide a “book.”

The next thing you need to do is create a website. This is easier than you may think. You can use a free publishing program like Wordpress and then buy a cheap domain name and you’re good to go. Now create a homepage on that website that talks all about your book and its can’t-miss strategies that practically guarantee success at slots. If you want, you can even include testimonials from people who have “used” your book.

This next part is the most important thing, so make sure you get it right. Instead of printing your research on that website, post a link to somewhere where people can purchase it by giving you their credit card number. Make sure the website is search engine optimized in such a way that people find it when searching on Google.

And you’re done! Sit back and relax. You can now make money at slots by selling a bogus book on slot machine strategy.

But isn’t that dishonest? you ask. Yes, of course it is, and it’s exactly what countless other people are doing. Don’t fall for it. There is no trick to making money at slots (other than by selling bogus “secrets” and “tips”). The results of spinning slot machines are completely random and nothing you can do will change that. So if you come across a website, book, or even a person in front of you offering tips to beating the slots, know that the source is at best ignorant and at worst a fraud. Instead, embrace the random nature of the slots and have some fun. That’s what I do.
