Venetian Macau Will Be Largest in World

Venetian Macau is poised to become the world’s largest casino upon opening. In fact, the casino is so large that visitors need two days to get all the way around the resort. The new resort has 3,000 hotel suites, more than 800 gaming tables, 7,000 slots, 350 shops, and the list goes on and on.

Some people say that it is too large, that having to use a map to find anything at the hotel is just ridiculous. The casino opened for a preview, and is looking to make its grand entrance to the world of casino gambling this week, with Sheldon Adelson himself supposedly on hand. Adelson is the Chairman of the Sands, and is responsible for the complex.

When approaching the casino, you enter across a lagoon, and as you get in you see a full size replica of the Bridge of Sighs, as well as clock towers and gothic palaces. This is all before you even hit the main lobby. Once you do you see frescos that are so beautiful they literally take your breath away. Well, that and the powerful air conditioning system that sucks away smoke so that no one is disturbed by it.

There is sight to see after sight to see, and it can seem overwhelming. Once you get to the gaming floor you see your table games and slots. There are only going to be 3,400 slots upon opening, and the others will be added later. Then depending on how you like your casinos, you can either spend your time playing it, or you can take a couple of days to just sightsee around the complex. Either way, you are in for a real treat.
