Marc Dann Looking For Stoolies

The Attorney General for the state has decided that if they can’t find the illegal slots, then they are going to get concerned citizens to help them. They know that most people know when they see an illegal slots game and Dann wants them to report them so that they can start cracking down on the number of illegal slots in the state.

Dann said that they were “issuing an All Points Bulletin” for the illegal slots and were hoping that the public would help them in locating the devices. He says that they are “unlicenses and unregulated” and they want to see them removed from the state.

They are aware that there are probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 50,000 illegal slots in the state, and he has announced a new phone line for people to report them. Dann is asking people to call 1-877-AG4-OHIO or visit their web site and report any information that they might have on illegal slots.

Just last week Governor Ted Strickland issued an Executive Order to try and ban video game machines like slots, as he says that they are part of the problem However, a judge refused to support the order and issued a restraining order against the state on behalf of the owners of these machines. Dann and Strickland say that they are not stopping the fight however, as they are determined to get slots out of Ohio.
