Tokwiro Holds Itself Accountable
Last month we reported on some huge cheating scandals over at Tokwiro, which is the owner of more than one online casino that was discovered with some shady activity. Any other players who lost money to these cheating rings have been promised full compensation, which would be a painful prospect for any company. They have recently confirmed that they will be working with a liquidation company called Excapsa to raise the funds to pay back all players and companies affected by the mess.
The two main sites that were caught in the act were UltimateBet and Absolute Poker, both of which are highly popular in the online casino industry, and have been unfortunately sold to Blast Off Limited. Tokwiro, it seems, just wants to put the whole debacle behind them, and the liquidators will be paying $15 million in damages, which will certainly be helpful in accomplishing just that.
The two sites were based in Canada, and the fraud goes back quite a few years, so it has been a long time for all the damages to accumulate. Already, over 6 million dollars have been issued by UltimateBet alone to players who have been affected by the cheating activity.
This month big wigs at Ultimate Bet have announced that they have finally been able to issue the very last of the refunds they needed to refund. Tokwiro can’t wait to get over all of this, and wants the public to know that it has been doing everything in its power to get to the bottom of the whole situation, how it came to pass in the first place, repaying everybody who was hurt by the situation, and lastly, how to punish the people responsible.
