The Recession is Good for Some
The recession has now covered the United States, and has affected the world economy. Just this week the news came out that even Europe is now officially in a recession. So far the land casino industry all over the world has been suffering for quite a few months straight now. They have been reporting low attendance numbers very consistently now, and in addition, the amount of money that people are spending once they are inside the casinos has decreased significantly. In order to make up for these unbelievably dismal numbers, many land casinos, even ones on the Las Vegas strip, have been offering some of the most unbelievable prize packages and promotions to lure people into their premises.
The online slots casino industry has actually been enjoying the economic downturn, since people still want to gamble, but they don’t want to spend all that extra money on travel, lodging and incidental expenses. The British online casino GameAccount, for one, has reported that they have not seen any change in their numbers and are actually enjoying a steady flow of new customers. Perhaps those new customers are the ones who are trying to save money by avoiding land slots casinos and looking into the new avenue of online gaming.
To be even more confident in their announcement, they have announced that they have seen a dramatic increase in revenues since the same time last year. At least somebody is actually enjoying the current economic dump that we’re all in. At this point, it looks like online slots gambling is here to stay.
