Microgaming Pulling Out

It’s usually one bad apple that ruins the bunch for everybody. Here’s the deal. Microgaming has responded to threats from the States to take their online domain by deciding to pull out officially from all US activity. All their affiliates also are looking at the close possibility of having to follow suit and give up all revenues from online slots and gambling players who live in the US. The determination of where a player lives is all due to the numbers in the IP address, which is also used to track activity on other restricted sites like pornography and anything to do with photosharing.

In an effort to follow the rules, Microgaming and all its affiliates have decided to expand their avoidance of the US over and above the current demands. While only online slots were restricted, Microgaming has decided to also withdraw its flash games and progressives as well. While players who live in the US have not been informed in any kind of official communication about the impending changes, several affiliate websites have taken the extra step to post the email about the changes on message boards or posting areas.

Not everybody who is on the Microgaming network is happy about the changes, as Doyle Brunson, who is one of the State’s best, and has his own online casino brand in DoylesRoom.com, is deciding to abandon ship and is currently searching for another software provider to work with. Even though Microgaming is one of the world’s premiere software providers, Doyle has decided that providing a service to his country is more important than his loyalty or lack thereof to the European software company that has helped his online slots and poker casino to date.
