Kentucky Ruins it For Everybody
There is a comprehensive list of 13 states that expressly outlaw any online slot and gambling activity. In response to recent threats that if Microgaming still keeps up with supplying online slots to residents of those states, they will have to give up their domain name, the company has decided to evacuate from those states specifically and could be expanding that to exclude all 50 US states, just to cover all of their bases. The decision is actually based on a Kentucky court ruling that has said that they will confiscate the domain names of any online slots casino that refuses to kick out all Kentucky based IP addresses.
Some people have actually figured out how to cover their IP addresses but Microgaming, being a huge software provider with access to some of the best programmers all over the world, they of course have figured out how to get past any blocking efforts.
he official list of banned states, doesn’t even include Kentucky which is at the root of all the hoopla. Either way, Microgaming is not about to give up everything the company has worked so hard to build. Microgaming has assured all of its US players that they will still have access to the sportsbetting portion of all the sites on the Microgaming network. However, the online poker and online slots portions will be officially blocked off to all players who live in a state that is on that list, with the addition of the trouble making Kentucky of course.
