Bodog is Back

The latest news on Bodog is that they are back, back again, for more action on the online slots casino arena. Bodog of course is the company championed by famous bad boy Calvin Ayres, who perhaps is most known for not exiting the US market, even after explicit threats from the US Department of Justice.

Bodog is still operating in the US, despite the current legislation, although it is safe to say that they have lost some players since security has been tightened up a bit. The latest drama with the company is that they have gotten all of their domain names back, which were all seized by an outside company through a long drawn out legal battle against First Technology LLC. The latter claimed that Bodog had somehow infringed on patents that the company had.

Bodog’s parent company, the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, worked firsthand with First Technology to resolve the issue, and after almost two long years, they have finally succeeded. While the terms of the agreement have been tightly kept under wraps, it is safe to say that the Morris Group must have paid a pretty penny to get this whole thing straightened out.

It is in the company’s best interest to not be involved in legal drama, and instead focus on bettering the brand and the business side of the organization. Consumers these days are wary of bad business practices, and any association that Calvin Ayres had with the company was usually not well received. While he has recently retired, there are rumblings of a reappearance now that the idea of new slots technological frontiers has surfaced.
