European Commission Report
The European Commission has had a bone to pick with the US ever since the UIGEA was passed in 2006. Regardless of protests and qualms from the other side of the pond, the US has continued to ignore trade agreements and the WTOs guidelines that were put in place by us that would ensure free trade in the global economy. Unfortunately this is a common thing, since the US seems to really enjoy making rules that don't apply to us, land mines anybody? Thats a whole other conversation, lets get back to online slots casinos.
The latest situation is that the whole situation has been under investigation by the European Commission who have taken it upon themselves to get to the bottom of this whole mess, launching a comprehensive investigation into the goings on on our side of the pond. The list of online slots casinos that almost went under after the US kicked them out of what was at one time one of the largest markets for them goes on and on, and it could very well be in violation of several antitrust agreements across the world.
Furthermore, the European Commission is trying to figure out if the US was trying to target the European companies specifically. The only thing that has been hopeful for most people, is that Obama is in office and it looks like he might be much more willing to find some common ground. That would actually be very important, especially since they European Commission has said that if an agreement cant be reached, they will be going to the World trade Organization next.
