Odd Sense of Humor

In a bittersweet chain of events this week, a widow from the States found an old lottery ticket that her husband had bought for her, and it just happened to be a winning ticket. Playing lottery of course is much more easily transferable than playing online slots, so this story has a much happier ending than that case. Either way, the husband and wife had a tradition of buying lottery tickets every year, and this year, in the commotion of the holidays and all the awful things that come with losing a loved one, the lottery tickets were left forgotten, and the wife admits that she, in fact, almost threw it away!

Not only was the ticket a winning ticket, but the poor man passed away on the same day they bought the ticket. What an awful, ironic turn of events. According to the couple’s children, their father had a very dry sense of humor and the whole thing would just be fitting to his personality, since he would have said it was typically ironic to die when you win the lotto.

The wife had since said that she thought it was only a 6 million dollar jackpot, but then at the liquor store, they told her it was in fact the 10 million dollar jackpot winning ticket that she had in her hand. Furthermore, she says that she had no idea what to do, and in all of this of course is still grieving for her husband.

She did however, say, that she was thinking of going to the Mohegan Sun Casino, and play some slot machines, in honor of her late husband, who would absolutely not want her to sit at home with all of her new winnings.
