Women Online Slots Players are Increasing

According to a recent survey there has been a major increase in the number of women who are accessing online slots and gambling sites. The survey says that over the past few months, the amount of women accessing the internet has increased overall, but now specifically they are finding an increase in those interested in online slots and gambling.

Women are most interested in online slots games, then skill games such as poker, then bingo and then just online casinos in general. The trend seems to be spreading internationally, as not just the US has seen an increase in online slots playing among women, other countries have as well.

In some cases it is merely an attempt to contact the outside world, and they go on online slots sites that allow them to “chat” with other people playing. Sometimes it is just for entertainment purposes. Online poker is still mostly men playing it, with seven out of ten male players at any table, but that number is down. It used to be ten out of ten or nine out of ten were male, but now it is more commonly three out of ten are female.

The UK reports that many of their female players are turning to bingo for their entertainment. They say that with the new smoking laws in place, more and more women are switching to online bingo instead of going to the halls where they can’t smoke any longer. From there they seem to be bleeding into the areas of online slots, roulette, backgammon, and Mahjong.

The report states that more women are turning to the internet for entertainment and that they spend more time on average on the computer than men do. There is also an increase in the number of women switching to mobile online slots and gambling as well. Even though it is still in its infancy, experts say that mobile gaming will quickly become the next big thing among female players.
