Is Gambling Addiction an Asian Concern?

As more people become addicted to gambling addiction across the world, it is no wonder that those that are attempting to bring it to Asia would be concerned about gambling addiction there as well. The number of people who become addicted to the online slots and slots in the rest of the country is steadily increasing, so it stands to reason that this would happen for the Asia as well.

There are other options for Asia as far as gambling already – they have horse racing, and it is very popular in their country. And, as it is in most places, it is considered a leisure activity and very few of them are addicted to it. But some are concerned that this might be about to change.

Now that people are trying to bring in more and more options for online slots and gambling, and slots in general, there is a real concern in the country that this is about to become a problem for those in Asia who might have a tendency to follow that path.

They say that those that have already shown signs of gambling addiction from the horses are most likely going to end up developing an addiction for online slots as well. They say that it is more than likely that they will end up with a much more serious addiction than they currently have.

In Hong Kong alone, four out of five people participate in some kind of gambling – whether it is over in Macau or the lottery, it does not matter. With that high of an instance rate it is no wonder that government officials might be concerned as to where this is all going to end up for them.
