Robison a Genius

For any fans of online slots out there, everybody knows who John Robison is. His books and websites were probably the first stop in the quest for advice for playing online slots. Perhaps his most famous title to date is called “The Slot Expert’s Guide to Playing Slots”.

However it can be said that it is a little odd to have a strategy in place for a game that is completely based on chance and odds, and not at all to do with any kind of intellectual skill. Some people have little lucky rituals, such as always wearing their lucky socks, or even sitting in the same exact machine every time they play, or even spending a certain amount of time at any given slot machine.

People have even asked him point blank if it’s possible to know if a certain slot machine is going to payout, or if there are any real concrete ways to know how a person’s luck will be. His answer, of course, is no.

Even then, how is it that people continue to buy his products, even if he himself has said there is no real way to know?

Perhaps the most groundbreaking observation he has made so far is simply that machines that look like they are constantly paying out might be doing so but just in very minimal amounts, while those which hold on tight to their money, might payout larger amounts with more time between payouts.
