Economic Snapshot

Anybody in the business world has certainly heard of Ernst and Young, the company of analysts which global business trust for advice and tips on maneuvering the international commerce sea. They release an annual report on the global economy, on which thousands of businesses rely to make their most crucial decisions. The latest report is only another in a string of dismal reports, since the times seems to be getting worse before they get better. Another thing is that people have officially tightened their wallet straps and pocket books and are trying to stay at home more in order to avoid spending more money.

All expenses have been cutout, especially those that are just superfluous. Of course that includes any luxuries, from honeymoons to gambling. Needless to say, the Vegas Strip has been struggling for the past few months, as people choose to stay home and keep working instead of planning a trip where they spend money on gas, travel, room, board, and entertainment, in addition to not working during that time.

The Ernst and Young report basically supported everything we already know, which is that people will be staying home and that will be affecting the level of business that land casinos see. Since people can’t survive without fun all the way, they will have to settle for only playing online slots and visiting internet casinos instead.

Another interesting observation is that advertising tactics have adapted to what the public is looking for now as well, and even magazines are focusing on how to maintain a stylish and fun lifestyle on a shoestring budget.
