Ohio Is Getting Keno

In a move that has angered many of the residents of Ohio, the Ohio Lottery Commission has legalized Keno. The problem is that the residents of Ohio have repeatedly turned down any attempt to bring slots or gambling to their state, so this looks as though they are deliberately going against their wishes.

The residents said that they do not want to see any kind of expanded gambling or slots in their state. The governor said he wanted to bring in Keno to balance the budget, and felt that Keno and slots were totally different things. The commission obviously agreed with him.

On Friday the OLC voted to approve the rules by 5-3, and residents say that the names may be different but the games are the same. They have rejected all of their attempts to bring in slots and now Strickland has gone too far.

Strickland says that the games will bring in $73 million to the state, but residents say that the money has to come from somewhere. They say that they are gambling and that the games will only end up being a tax on the poor.

Over the objections of their residents, the slots type games will be debuting in bars and restaurants this summer. They maintain that the Keno games bear no resemblance to the Tic Tac Fruit games that were outlawed last year.
