Golden Gate Hotel Embracing New Slots

In what can only be seen as a coo for technology, the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino has decided to embrace the future of slots and add ticket-in, ticket-out technology to their gaming floor. The casino has been around since 1906, and has had slots with that familiar jingle of coins falling from them ever since they first added them. However, the times they are a changing, and Golden Gate is aware of that.

The historic casino recently decided that it was time to update their slots, and eliminate the coin system. They decided to update their slot system to bring in the new coinless technology. With the new slots technology, they are also able to offer a player’s club, which they could not do before they changed their slots system.

The new club is called Club 1906 in reference to their inception date. With the addition of the Club, they are truly entering a new era in the slots industry. More and more casinos are offering these slots clubs, as their players look to them to get benefits that they don’t get from playing the slots without them. They can earn benefits, freebies, etc. all from using their card when they play the slots. Their manager says that by adding the club, and by changing their slots, they are marrying the historical nature of their casino with the technology of tomorrow – which is what Vegas is all about.

The first slots club card went to Alma Margaret Creel, 94, who is one of the casino’s oldest customers. She said that she was going to miss the older slots, but was honored to be their founding member.
